On March 18, Hidden Mountain Treasures, a local band, presented a music concert at Market Street & Co.  Johnson's Ridge Bakery provided delicious cupcakes and JMHS YLA members manned the hot dog concession.  Thanks to this band and  everyone who came out to support THE CAUSE!

Master Gardener Johnny Spangler presented a workshop on "Extending Your Growing Season" recently.  He shared information on building protective coverings, selection of seeds and planting methods for our area.

Thank you, Johnny for contributing to our efforts to rehab  this building.

Peterstown Preservation Group, Inc., a non-profit organization,  serves the Peterstown, WV area, focusing on preserving the culture and history of this small  town.  Situated on the Virginia border, with settlers as early as the 1750s, Monroe Countians are proud of their Appalachian heritage.  The town has lost many of its early structures and residents are attempting to halt that trend.  The impact of successful efforts will benefit the residents and community economically, educationally, and culturally.  Our goal is to bring everyone together to revitalize the community.
